Support Services | Caregivers Services
With so many tough decisions to make, the caregivers role can be physically and emotionally challenging, even under the best of circumstances. When demands become overwhelming, our Caregivers Service can help.
The Caregivers Service is a free program through HealthOutreach that
provides help and support for individuals and families involved in
the care of anyone 60 or older. Coordinated by a certified social
worker, this service is designed to help caregivers identify and cope
with the many complex issues confronting them.
Through the safety of support groups and individualized counseling, caregivers have the opportunity to talk and be listened to, express a broad range of feelings without censure or judgment, and consider all the options to improve the quality of life for their loved ones and themselves.
In addition, the Caregivers Service offers a wealth of information and resources including:
| |
Needs assessments and recommendations/referrals |
| |
Assistance in evaluating care options such as home care, retirement community, skilled nursing facility and assisted living |
| |
Strategies for stress reduction and self care |
| |
