Stroud Center for Studies of Quality of Life
Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center

Located at the New York State Psychiatric Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, the Stroud Center is led by Dr. Barry Gurland and encompasses numerous research and education projects. Research focuses on changes in quality of life associated with the mental health problems of aging, with particular attention to the affects of co-morbid medical conditions and ethno-racial influences. The Stroud Center also plays host to the Statewide Psychogeriatric Fellowship-Residency Program and operates the Geriatric Education Center.
