Taub Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research
Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center

This Center is operated by the Department of Pathology and is one of 15 NIH-sponsored sites in the nation. The goal of the Center is to facilitate interdisciplinary research between the Departments of Neurology, Psychiatry, and Pathology at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Research is conducted to elucidate the underlying causes, genetic factors, diagnosis, progression, and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. Current research projects include the Washington Heights/Inwood Columbia Aging Project (WICAP). The Center is led by Drs. Richard Mayeux and Michael Shelanski.
