| Weill Cornell Geropsychiatry Institute NewYork Weill Cornell Medical Center The Institute encompasses both the Westchester Division and the Payne Whitney Clinic, and provides geriatric inpatients services at both campuses, day hospital services at the Westchester Division, and services to patients at the Amsterdam Nursing Home. Dr. Robert Abrams, Director of Geropsychiatry at the Manhattan Campus, also sees patients at the Wright Center. In addition, a Geropsychiatry Housecall Program has been established to provide consultative care to elderly patients whose homeboundedness is the basis of psychiatric conditions, such as depression, bereavement, or dementia. The program is a collaboration between the Department of Psychiatry and the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology. |
