	Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) Unit Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, The Allen Pavilion Located at the Allen Pavilion, this inpatient unit consists of 23 beds, designated for the evaluation and care of older patients. Fifteen beds of the unit are for patients transferred from area nursing homes, and act to integrate care between the hospital and the nursing home settings. The remaining eight beds are used for the purpose of geriatric assessment.
